first off, Maybe your a rap fan. Who doesn't think rap is boring. But kid I'll TELL! you why country is the way it is. It's that way cause it's real. you rap *** cracks don't seem to know that they are just dudes acting tough. County is sad depressing and TRUE! a lot of people feel that way believe it or not. Depression is every why, And it's mostly over women or men. So they sing about what people feel, They don't sing about taking a hoe to the candy shop or smoking a joint. They sing about heart break and sadness. And thats plaguing a lot of people from day to day kid. Open your closed mind
I agree with Bo Duke w/o the Douchebag part, but in my neighborhood i mostly hear loud spanish music in their cars as they drive by.No Comprende and Turn that down!!! I don't listen to country that much but my favorite is George Strait.

first of all, any music u hear on the radio is a watered down, pop version of its genre. rap is good, just not radio rap. i believe this is the same with country. these fools that are radio friendly arent and shouldnt be true representatives of their respective genres. the majority of people dont want to be overwhelmed with music that makes them think. they just want something quick and simplified, which is sad because there are countless acts out there that you have missed out on. willl you hear immortal technique on hot 97? probably not. what about ryan adams on a country station? nope. you will hear 50 cent and carrie underwood tho....but hey, my thirst for more music whether current or old will never die and the radio is not my answer. as to the lyrics of country being depressing, which rap artist's song about the ghetto, slinging crack, and watching their buddies die isnt depressing? everyone has got a story to tell and its all depressing, you just have to listen.

There is nothing wrong with country. Country music is about love, sex, war, peace, friends, family. A good country music song will tell you a great story, entertain you, and make you think.
