Question: why are so many people so negative about my chemical romance?
they have good music,they aren't your typical rockers...ie: they are good role models,don't trash things and don't condone violence or drugs etc

i know MCR is the best band ever and they have great music but they are well gerard is like 18 years older than me

i think mcr are good. ive seen them twice and they were amazing and not rude to the fans either.
i love them and hate them. they swear to much and they turned my friend emo

something that also bothers others is the similarity scale to many other mainstream "Emo" genre artists (Aiden, From first to last, etc.) Many believe they all look the same and this is usually looked at as annoying
try putting some judas priest on that cute little ipod daddy bought you, THEN we'll talk about rockers and good music. my chemical romance is a waste of studio time, discs, and good instruments.

I think they are a great band and I am their age too! I think at the end of the day you either like them or hate them and that is why there is such a reaction to them. Much better that they are being discussed rather than not at all. Indifference is a killer!

the lyrics have no real meaning to them, and when it comes down to it, you're only going to see a bunch of little girls screaming how much they love gerard way because he's gay or something.
honestly, i wish they didnt let all the popularity get to their heads.
they were a great band when their debut album came out, before "emo" was a term known across the world.

Yeah I agree with you! They're a good band. I think why alot of people don't like them is because they consider them "emo" which is also annoying since I hate labels..

they really aren't that great. If one is classified as a rocker, they don't whine about life, and how bad it sucks. They may be "good role models", but that's because they support what they write(good), and it's surreal subject matter(bad)
skater_kid_74, I hate rap myself, and I'm definitely not a 'prep', I actually know more 'preps' that listen to them and say "OMG, I'm like sooo punk rock". It's more the people who actually have taste that hate them
Because MCR is looked upon as rock posers. Because people who listen to them usually think that they're so alt. cuz they listen to MCR and announce it to the world. MCR is a mix of pop punk, alternative rock and emo. It's not ACTUAL rock (when people say rock, they usually hard rock/heavy metal-ish). I like them, most of their songs anyways. But MCR is usually a way for posers to listen to "rock" instead of listening Led Zeppelin, Judas Preist...etc. Even Alice Cooper is more rock than MCR. As for the good role model part, I guess. But they have done drugs and sh*t like that.

Cuz they're haters. I really don't know, the real reason, but i love Mcr. They're a really cool band.
