As a beginner, buy the cheapest possible guitar in the music store. Why? There are several reasons; (1) You still have not developed the ears to tell the difference between a good guitar and a bad guitar. A $4,000 guitar and a $40 guitar sound the same to you. (2) In case you don't succeed, money is not wasted. (3) It allows you time to save up for a very good one that would last for your life time. (4) In the future, you'd have a guitar that you can carry around to play in parks, beaches, in picnics etc. You know, the one that you don't feel hurt when it is scratched. (5) The worst things is that if you've purchased a $300-$400 guitar, it would never satisfy you once you've developed your tonal ear. If you are selling it, lucky if you get 1/3 of the price for it. If you hang on to it, you would hate it.

I am speaking from experience. I have 7 guitars right now, 6 expensive ones and still keeping the first one that I purchased many years ago, for $20.

A good guitar that you'd enjoy playing time after time would probably knock you $2-3 K, minimum.

i cant see the link and why not electric electic is awesome
