Why Do you rant Souljaboy's music?!
Question: I Understand fully why some, especially a mature audience, would not like his music hell I even don't like it, but to go as far as to say he represents the destruction of hip-hop?
I am looking at some of his lyrics now and clearly his target audience is the pre-teens to teen, who simply want to dance, move and have fun(Honestly I would rather them at home learning his umpteenth dance variation than outside doing something crazy). I view his style of music similar to that of Kriss Kross's Jump! Jump! I loved that song when I was young but as I grew older and matured so did my taste for music
What I am asking is why do those who dislike his music rant about it when clearly you are not his target audience? It would be kind of like me complaining about the lack of literary devices in Harry Potter books, when I really should be reading T.S. Elliot.

the reason they rant on it is because he's so big! its everywhere so you kinda feel like it's being shoved down your throat
hey, nice question i my opinion. Just this morning i was watching his new song on MTV and thinking, is he just like any other rapper. SO i thought about and was like well if it wasn't for the dance he would be nowhere. I guess people can like and dislike his music its just about your interpretation of hip hop/rap. I personally kind of like his music soully because i am an hip hop kinnddaa gal.

I'm 18 and I rip my friends who listen to it, unless you are at a dance party it is not a good song to listen to, there are a ton of better songs and mcs

people rant on him because of how big he is. hes the "destruction of hip hop" because he got so much with so little talent, when therees many better rappers who dont even get recognition. in my opinion, hes a terrible rapper, but his song was hot when it came out. alot of people also rant ppl who listen to it now just cuz its so played out. if ur just now tryin to learn the steps to the dance or still listenin to it thats sad.
and jump was made by little kids and didnt have lyrics like crank dat does. jump is stil a good song
