Can anyone tell me what classical song this band is using at the very beginning !
Question: The song "Hate (I really don't like you)" by the Plain White T's has a guitar rift at the beginning (and throughout) their song that sounds very familar to me.
I want to say the rift sounds like it came from a Classical song, but I just can't put my finger on which song. This is really bothering me, so is there anyone out there that is familar with Classical music that can tell me which piece its from?

Doesn't sound like anything in particular in the realm of "classical music"; it just sounds like a generic guitar riff that I've heard in other songs.
I don't hear anything particularly musical about this, let alone classical. Sounds like run of the mill grunge pop to me.
No nothing from classical music there and nothing very original about the riff either ; I have heard similar things many times over the years.
I tried to listen to it, but could only stand it for about half-way through. Do you really like such glaringly loud, and monotonously repetitive sounds? Hard to believe.
And I agree totally with the previous responders: doesn't remotely sound like any piece of classical music I've ever heard; and I've been listening for years.
