Its impossible. Simply because the vocals cut accross a wide range of frequencys and removing them would remove a large chunks of the music and leaving perhaps just the bass of the song and even then the vocals can be still heard. If its a hip hop or rnb song you are likley to be able to get instrumentals by searching on limewire or google if you really need them.
So Simply, You can't.
