Advice on singing?!
Question: my dream is to be a singer but i admit i dont have the best voice. can voice lessons actually improve my singing or do i need an already good voice to improve? or are there any other suggestions on what i could do?

take voice lessons...as long as you are not tone-deaf, you will be able to improve...practice matching pitch with songs on the radio and sing as much as you can...use your ears to help you figure out if you are hitting the right notes...don't get discouraged is my number one point of advice to you...it does take work
listen to music, sing in the shower..i have a natural singing voice...find the right song not all songs are for everybody..figure out if your an alto, soprano or a tenor maybe a bass?????
Voice lessons can improve your singing.
You need to practice a ton and find songs that are good for your voice because some songs just don't work. (trust me I know)
Make sure your warm your voice up before you start singing that'll help with the tone of your voice.

when you're singing dont try to sing like the original artist. sing it your own way. and dont try to do things with your voice that you cant do. taking voice lessons may improve your singing and teach you new techniques but dont expect a miracle.
first of all, get one thing stright, don't say that you don't have a good voice. you need to stay confident. you don't need to take lessons, you can pracitise at home by yourself by singing alot. try to sing alot and that will improve your vocals. try to sing high and low pitches. do the do ray me fa so la ti do thing.
Look at the band called lacuna coil.
the singer sang at the ozzfest and she has never taken singing lessons before to improve her voice.
