Of bands that have come around in recent years, it's hard to say... not a lot's changed, just different names and labels. None of them have really had time to be noticed as that influential yet.
I'd say :
The Libertines
Bloc Party
Arctic Monkeys
will be hailed in years to come as major influences.... they've all brought something different to a rather simple genre and made it interesting and mainstream again..
I'd prefer to go back to Oasis and Blur but that goes past 10 years.
Once again, i'm from the UK so I probably missed a lot of US stuff out of the equation.
Also, I just made myself sound like a complete indie nonce... I am normal, I swear.
It's probably also worth noting the growth in bands that have spurred from the likes of Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance ... they may not be the originals, and they may not of defined a genre, but they brought it to the mainstream and got people interested, if that isn't influential, what the hell is?

I honestly think there weren't any greatly influental bands in the past 10 years since none really come to mind.
But I would have to say Linkin Park, Death Cab for Cutie, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
