Whats the meaning of an upside down music note on music sheeet...?!
Question: im jus starting to learn to play the piano and read music sheets..i got everything down...only thing confusing me is whether the notes that are upside down are the same as the ones right side up
take "d" as right side up note and "p" as upside down..

I'm learning also. My teacher says that it is only a visual aid used to help you count the number of the same notes occurring repeatedly in the same measure.
It's the same note it just means you play it with your left hand if it points down and your right hand if it points up.
i dont know, but you play them just the same
the same as right side up. they just put it pointing down if it goes above B. it all means the same though
There is no difference. It's for visual purposes.
