How do you know if music has 120-135 beats per minute?!

Question: Thanks

Answers: Thanks

Go here, and turn the metronome up to 120 while playing your song. If it's slower than your music, turn it up faster until the beats match. Should be easy to figure out.

you could use an electronic metronome (purchase one at a music store if you don't own one)

Lots of good links on my Yahoo 360 page hope it helps!!!

You can determine a song's BPM using a BPM analyzer. MixMeister has one for free: http://www.mixmeister.com/download_frees...

count them!

time the beat over say 20 seconds then times it by three

Tap your foot to the beat. Count how many beats in 10 seconds (use a clock or watch with a second hand) and multiply this by 6.

thats pretty fast. haha.
idk my guitar teacher has a device that measures it.

60 bpm is 1 beat every second. An analog clock that ticks will be at this meter.

120 bpm is 2 beats a second. Double up the beats for each tick.

There are online metronomes out there. Try searching.

Take a stop watch set it to one minute and count the beats, listen to that one beat that is constant in a song and count for one minute. You can also use other methods such as the ones mentioned prior to my suggestion but this is how I do it without expensive equipment.

Well, if you simply wanted to play it by ear to figure that out, you would need to be the kind of person that can pick out a song's rhythm and after doing that you can sort of keep a tempo. (This is steady and tells if it is a slow, fast, or moderately sped song!) You are able to now dicover the beat (very important) and you could just carefully count how many there are over the duration of a minute. (Then I suppose you could use a clock and/or watch to see when the minute is up.) Hope that helps!

You could count the beats of the musical piece for 15 seconds (with a watch that counts seconds) and multiply that number by 4. The product (answer to the multiplied numbers) will be the BPM (number of beats per minute). Any piece of music at 120-135 BPM is usually called "Allegro".

The only think I can thinkof is a BPM or beat ur foot to it..
that is a bit fast to do with urfoot and keep count..
good luck -2008
