"Top Contributor" is awarded to people who have answered a certain number of questions in a given category.
Whether or not you got best answer doesn't matter, and it's also a fluid thing. Meaning it may come and go from your avatar as others answer more questions in that category than you do.

To get a TC badge you need 10% best answer in that category and you gotta be constant there too. But just because someone has one doesn't necessarily make them a better answerer.
You deserve it if you give good answers. I prolly never gonna get Top Contributer, but I hope I help people realize what good music is.
