Blondie. It's the first Top-10 song to feature rapping. But Blondie isn't really the first rapper, as none of their other songs are rap.
Rapture was done by Blondie who got their inspiration for this song from Sugar Hill's Rappers Delight which was recorded in 1979...so Blondie doesn't win it!..Blondie even admitted that their inspiration came from Rappers Delight done by Sugar Hill.
Now, please don't ask how a 60 year old white woman knows all this crap! ;)
