Hendrix was recognized during the late sixties
during this time period the things he would do with the guitar nobody had done them before
Hendrix would just jam on stage improvising on leads etc.

Slash is great and all but even without being a fan Hendrix's rep as a guitar God is well deserved.

The song Voodoo Child was covered by Stevie Ray Vaughan(Another artist I don't care for btw) a guitarist most anyone would say is superb and one of the world's best.
