Does anyone else hate SKA?!

Question: i cant stand it! it sounds like a jumble of jazz and rock and country. its so anoying. maybe it would sound ok, but since the band members (what i have heard so far), it just sounds like they have put no effort into it. its stupid.

what does "ska" mean anyways?

not a dumb fad

Forgive my ignorance, but who the heck are they? I guess I haven't had the displeasure of listening to them. Oh well, I guess I shouln't even bother since by the sound of things they suck : /

I don't know anyone who doesn't hate ska.

i love ska.
its short for skank. which is the type of dance you do to ska music
not the old school 1960s swing ska. but 1990s ska was tight.

The Science Of Selling Yourself Short by Less Than Jake is one of the best songs around

and mighty mighty bosstone reunion tix were selling on ebay for $1,000. so take that non- believers

4th wave is coming.

I'm not a big Ska fan but I'm a huge third wave Ska fan like Sublime and No Doubt their amazing and It also has a mix of reggae in it cause it was originated in Kingston Jamaica

Ska music is a technicly a mixture of jazz and classical Jamacian music. (now called raggae but ska is actually older) It was popularized by middle class white kids as a pre-rock and roll kind of thing.

Ska eventually become mixed in with punk rock. I give most of the credit to the Clash. They lived in British ghettos witjh mosly black people and grew up on a blend of raggae and American rock and roll like the Rolling Stones on the radio.

These days it's safe to say Ska music is punk and raggea mixed together, although the amounts of each varies along with hints of metal and jazz so that's why its so hard to classify.

psh are you kidding.
its one of the best genres around
it takes talent
unlike that emo crap bands

YES!! God, it's annoying! It's boring and repetitive, and one-dimensional, and really pretty silly. And hey, let's ALL wear black and white! OOOOOH! How tough and cool!
