What guitar should i get???!
Question: ive decided to just probably get a guitar for up to 1000 dollars. i like playing slayer and metallica, black sabbath and iron maiden, system of a down......which guitar would u recommend in that price range (around 1,000)?...thanks

Go to a guitar shop that has a very large selection and try them all out... one of the guitars will pick you, and will let you know that your search is over.
As for specific brands? There are none better than another (even though I am an Ibanez freak). Dave Murray uses Fenders (which is unheard of in metal), Darian (SoaD) uses Ibanez, Tony Iommi uses Gibson SGs, Jeff Hannennman uses ESP, as does Lars.
Sreiously, pick up and play as many guitars as possible in as many different price ranges that you can afford, and you will know when you have found the right guitar.
If you like metal, get an ESP or Ibanez.
get the B.C Rich or a jackson.
if you are more intrested in death metal get a gibson
Get a Les Paul Studio and I promise you you'll be happy. You could consider Ibanez, I've seen the Steve Vai model on sale before in that range. The base (low end) Parkers are okay but I'd go with the first two choices.
You could get a used Gibson X-Plorer in good condition for a few hundred dollars.
get a B.C. Rich Mockingbird
OR a Gibson SG
OR a flying V from either dean or Gibson
