Gonna have to say Thom Yorke, because I find him more consistently interesting. Cobain made some brilliant music, but it's hard to call him the best with so few albums to his (or Nirvana's) name, compared to Yorke, with several Radiohead albums and a great solo album. Actually, it's an usual comparison to make, which makes it more interesting to pick one! Ultimately, I dig both of 'em.

Kurt, he didn't have enough time to fizzle and do awkward annoying stuff. Thom Yorke is a genius but in our minds Kurt will always be a certain person, he will never get old. Also I may be a bit biased on account of Kurt brought two of my favorite things together with the way he wrote and who he wanted to be, John Lennon and Punk Rock. Thom Yorke has offered a lot more music to like than Cobain ever will (being dead does that to you) so the quantity of songs you like that he wrote can do nothing but get larger, but the songs you don't like by him can only get larger as well.
Thom Yorke!!!! I can only listen to Cobain's voice for so long.
