Singer Only?!

Question: Should male soprano's only sing low males song or songs like Chris Brown and higher is it ok for a man to sing soprano if he doesn't falsetto.

Answers: Should male soprano's only sing low males song or songs like Chris Brown and higher is it ok for a man to sing soprano if he doesn't falsetto.

Male sopranos/altos are really called countertenors. If you have the range of a countertenor, you indeed don't have to falsetto to sing songs in the alto or soprano range. If you fall into this small category for men, it is totally natural for you to sing in that range. Singing lower songs for tenors and baritones will not be natural in your voice, so don't force yourself to sing that way.

Countertenors basically have the same range as a female. This is a unusual voice for a male, but it does happen. There is a countertenor that sings in the opera company I sing with, and he is comfortable in that range as well. It is very unique, and I say sing what fits your voice the best. You don't have to fit anyone's mold or protocol in singing. In voice, there is no boundaries if you can achieve it. Go for it!

I think cause soprano's are low singers they should only sing low songs. (i have some experience in choir) The section every group off and the sopran's only sing low songs and the alto's only sing high songs. Same with girls.

If the song is in your vocal range, I don't know why it would not be okay for you to sing it. The male high singer is a tenor, low male is a bass. High female is a soprano, low female is an alto.

ok the first answer got it completley WRONG. Soprano sings at a high pitch, while altos sing a medium pitch. They don't sing at a REALLY low pitch. Tenors, sing low, and theres only a few females that could even go down that pitch, Bass, is only for the males, big buff low low low pitch. So depending on where ur pitch is, depends on which songs u could sing correctly. Male songs that use a LOT of Falsetto are somthing like coldplay songs, and for males who have lower ptchs i suggest beatles or soemthin.

NO, Soprano refers to a female singer and never a male (soprano, mezzo soprano & Contralto) & for boys (tenor, baritone & bass)
Male singers whose voices have not yet changed and are singing the soprano line are technically known as "trebles".

Soprano = Is a high pitch or is a singer with a voice range from approximately middle C (C4) to "high A" (A5) in choral music, or to "soprano C" (C6, two octaves above middle C) or higher in operatic music. In four part chorale style harmony the soprano takes the highest part which usually encompasses the melody. And sometimes use Falsetto especially in choir group.

I change my voice in soprano when I'am in choir....
Its hard to change my voice... is because I like to join the choir...
