definitley try cobra starship. i think you'll like it a lot actually! :]

Led Zeppelin, and anything from the 60's and 70's.

Please stop listening to rap, or any of this new music.. it's not good for you.

Linkin Park..mwahhhh

linkin park-other lead singer had a side project that was rap
mindless self indulgence-eh give it a try

ok i would suggest you start from the classic rock:

the beatles, led zeppelin, ac/dc, queen, ozzy ozbourne - so it gives you some ideas.
hard rock/metal: iron maiden, judas priest, accept, scorpions, metallica, <4 albums include "black" album>
program rock: dream theater, porcupine tree

just start from these bands, and move on.

Hm... That would be me :] I used to listen to so much hip hop and rap until I heard Paramore. I would recommend listening to Paramore, Lifehouse, AFI, and Flyleaf.

You should tell your friend to cheak out My Chemical Romance or Blink 182.

Well, your "friend" already HAS bad taste in music, so let me think of the worst bands I know. How about, Linkin Park? Yep, pretty awful.

Linkin Park

Cause you'll be listening to Rock which will be new but still have the rap music in it XD you should like them

Well a good transition from Rap to Rock would be The Go! Team. They mix samples, old school hip hop, double duch and gutairs for some pretty happy funky music.

Then I guess you could try Rage Against the Machine for some politically charged rap rock.
