Becoming better at singing?!
Question: I'm in a choir and I've been trying to become better at singing. Somedays I sound great but sometimes I sound rather wierd. I think im breathing properly (when I breathe in my stomach goes out, when I breathe out my stomach goes in.) I don't know how to use my head or chest voice. My teacher has been trying to explain it to me but I just don't get it. I know to sing alot alot alot and to stand up or sit up straight when I sing. Could anyone please help me improve and what I could do to become better? Thanks.

i'm not positive how much u know about singing but i take voice lessons & this is what me teacher tells me.
ur head chest voice (i think) is usually where u'll automatically start singing & where its most comfortable. head voice is usually higher, sort of opera like.
if u want to extend your range, sing octaves or go from you lowest possible note to ur highest possible note. and when you sing octaves u can hum or buzz them. u can also sing 'me mey ma mo moo' on one note & then change the note everytime u sing it. and if u want help on articulation, sing words like 'bitty' or 'money' or almost anything else on one note & make sure u can hear every letter when u sing it. and u can also just fo the simple 'do rey me fa sol la te do'
