Why don't a lot of people appreciate classical music?!
Question: I admire people like Hans Zimmer, Ark Sano, Mozart, Beethoven, and everyone else.
Classical music is beautiful and I'm glad I found it, hidden in the back behind the shelves all dusty and unused.
I LOVE Vitamin String Quartet, I can listen to my favorite songs in a classical tune.
Can you introduce me to other great classical music?

A lot of people don't appreciate good music nowadays because some of the pieces of poo that are on the radio and are popular today. They've convinced people that whatever is on the radio is good music when some of it is not. They think if they listen to classical music they're "weird" or something.
A lot of people also don't like it because some classical songs are long and if you're not REALLY into the music you lose interest and it becomes boring.
Anyways, I just realized all my little paragraphs start with A.. and I'm not sure of some other good classical music, but I know one song that is my personal favorite: Mendellssohn - Hebrides Overture (Fingal's Cave).
I like classical sometimes....I don't know it well enough to recommend anything though......
It's a matter of opinion and personal taste. Sometimes you have to show them the way, so to speak. Also...some people are afraid and quick to dismiss things they don't understand...

Sometimes people who say they don't like
classical music think it's great if it is presented
in a movie i.e. almost all Disney movies.
Many people just wouldn't take the time out of their
lives to even try to enjoy it.
They might listen to Country, Rap, HipHop or R&B
because they can go on about their lives while listening.
But, to really get anything out of classical music requires
actually listening to it.
Some good composers:
Brahms, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Paganini, Ravel,
Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikowsky, Dvorak, Sibelius,
BEETHOVEN, Mozart.
You might try the Kronos Quartet. Their music is modern
and at times really strange, but I really like them.

I used to study with classical music playing, which helped the brain process information.
I'm not sure if Vanessa Mae and the string quartet, Bond, count as pure classical music but I have found their songs to be very interesting as well.

Many people don't appreciate classical music because it is not "instant" enough.
I don't know why other people do not listen to it. It seems everybody has to have drums and bass in their music now. They have forgotten how to listen to a melody.

You have to have a musically developed brain to understand the classics. Most people who have only listened to the trash on the radio can hear nothing but a confusing mess of notes.
they think classical is bored and old but it's not!
because they are too busy watchin american idol....
I would suggest listening to mendelssohn, songs without words. They are in a very basic classical styla and have beautiful melodies.
