MCR fans? (who liked them before TBP)?!

Question: this question is inspired by this one: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...

it says how after their current tour is done the black parade is dead and that they will be going back to their old style. so MY question is that do you think that when the new album comes out (which will probably be similar to bullets and three cheers) that the band will lose some fans that were just in it for TBP? will they be scared away by the dark heavier stuff?

I've always liked MCR. ever since i brought you my bullets you brought me your love. I've been hooked on them. i would never abandon them so of course i love TBP. but i love all of their music. Sure my favorite album isn't TBP, its actually bullets, but I'll always like them. i don't believe they sold out. to me, sold out means to lose the meaning. and MCR was always in the music industry to save lives and make a difference. and they have done that. they still believe that to this day.
now to your question, i do and don;t hope that the fans of TBP go away. i do because some of them only like them because of the look. and if the band changes the look back to 3 cheers look then all the POSER mcr fans wont like them. most poser fans use to call MCR emo when they dressed in black and red. and never really focused on the music. they really started paying attention when the new music came out and saw that MCR has changed.
and i don't hope they stop being fans because it would be totally selfish of me to. MCR deserve good fans. and NOT all of TBP fans are posers.
:)

they were always crap

i loiked the original and i hated thb
im so glas that they are going back to the original
and i do agree they are going to lose a huge fanbase that was centere on thb.

your post just made my day!
It's awesome they're going to their more original sound!

I believe the real question is "Where can MCR fans get medical treatment for brain damage?".

well. ik that there are a TON of true fans out there, myself included, who will still love them, maybe even more. it seems that a lot of the ppl who luved their first two albums weren't as happy with the black parade album. i guess mcr might lose some fans, but ya know what. . .it's their loss. mcr deserves the very best fans, we have to be there for them, like they were for us. i am sooo looking forward to their new album. i luved bullets and revenge, and i just know that this new album is going to be a work of pure genius.

mcr forever!

I loved every album they came out with...since I was 13. I'm 16 now, and I can't wait for whatever else Gerard and the rest will come up with.

i did, and for those new fans, they are true as well.

well yeah, they might lose some fans. but if you think about it, the fans they'll lose aren't really the true fans that were there with them all along and love all of their albums.

personally, i love TBP, but i also love their old stuff xD

their old stuff was better
:D

I agree 100% with answer #1. They were in fact always crap. Fo' shizzle.

Aw it was inspired by my question :)
Well, The new album is said to be like a "grown up bullets".

Im not being horrible but alot of people in my school , mostly chavs say how much they love mcr but when i say whats your favorite song they all say either WTTBP or Teenagers lol, And you know what, they all thought The black parade was mcrs first album haha.

So in a way i think MCR will lose a few fans, but the only ones they will lose are the ones that dont know the real Mcr.

Im looking forward to hearing the new album when its released.
But even so, R.I.P The Black Parade, you gave us Fans an adventure, its been fun whilst it lasted :)

I first borrowed I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love from my cousin. My favorite song off the whole cd was Vampires Will Never Hurt You. I guess you could say I was shocked when I heard I'm Not Okay on the radio. To be honest, I never expected them to be so huge. I never stopped liking them, but I put them on hold until they made a new cd. Just to see if they were really going to change their sound for good.

Once I let this girl at school listen to my iPod. She saw My Chemical Romance and she asked "You don't have The Black Parade on here?" I don't know why, but that pissed me off. lol. (:
She didn't listen to any of the other My Chem songs...so Yes, I think they'll lose some of their radio fans.

To tell the truth, the first time I heard them was when they were on Saturday Night Live, I turned to my sister and said "Wow this is really, really good." Now I own all of their albums, I think it was mostly my age that had me not aware of them before, I was maybe 10 when Three Cheers came out and was still listening to aarron Carter and other terrible things.
I think with the new album they will lose some of their, for lack of a better term, "teeny bopper fans" if they change their image with the music. I know that anyone who has truely fallen for their music will always stick with them through all their musical endovors, I know I will.

i think.
if they are a mcr romance fan they should also be fans of TBP
dont u think?

I liked MCR before TBP, but back then they were just another band on the radio that I liked to hear. I didn't have any of thier CDs. When I heard Welcome To The Black Parade from TBP, I fell in LOVE with it and got the album. I looked up thier olders songs and liked them and eventually got Revenge and I just recently got Bullets for x-mas. I, personally, like thier older stuff better now that I've heard all of thier Cds. So, of course, I can't wait for thier new album whenever it comes out.

i think TBP is way better than the older stuff i dnt no y
all there other songs r great but thats my fav album i dnt no y people say they like there older stuff better oh well at least there r fans out there who support them no matter wat

30 seconds to mars is #1

Actually i knew them when they came out with TBP,but when i bought The Bullet and 3 Cheers,i was like,Wow! They will never lose their true fans if so they still got me :p . MCR ROCKS
