Question: Ok I am having a new years party and I don't know what type of music to play. HAlf of my friends like rock, but the other half likes pop or rap.....personally i would like rock...but i don't know what to do...I mean I want this party to be he-uge!!!!

You should play a big mix of music. Unless they are music snobs (which I hate!), they should enjoy all good party music!
Make some mix CDs with one pop song, then a rap song, then a rock song and so forth for the whole CD. But make sure you don't play anything too depressing. It's a party, after all!

make ur own remix cd in whic 1 twosongs are rock then hiphop then rock then again pop and hiphop like mix them in such ratios and every body will hava a good time and happy new year to u and all ur friend

If you have an ipod...which is perfect for this party situation- you should make a playlist of a combo of all of those genres of music and play those songs for the night. I just saw the VH1 special of the best songs of the 90s and there were some awesome songs that I forgot about. The songs were also a mixture of EVERYTHING from "Nothing but a G Thang" by Dr. Dre and Snoop, and then "Everlong" by Foo Fighters. You should also throw in some REAL rock like Led Zeppelin and Guns and Roses...everyone loves those tunes.
