Skye's answer had me a little confused because I only know the old country versions of this song by Bob Wills so I did a little research. Found this great web site that lists 160 versions of this song. According to this site Muddy Waters did not release his version till 1966 while Bob Willis' was released back in 1946, 1947 1949 and 1953.

Well Friend, I hate to tell ya, but this song isn't originally country at all! The name of the song is Corrina Corrina by Muddy Waters. Muddy Waters is a VERY good blues singer and guitarist. Here are his lyrics-

Corrina, Corrina, where ya been so long?
Tell me Corrina, where ya been so long?
I haven't had no lovin', since you been gone

I love Corrina, I tell the world I do
Well I love Corrina, I tell the world I do
Well I hope some day she will, come to love me too

Corrina, Corrina, where you stay last night?
Tell me Corrina, where you stayed last night?
You came home this mornin', the sun was shinin' bright

I met Corrina, a-way across the sea
Yeah I met Corrina, way across the sea
She wouldn't write me no letter, she didn′t care for me

Bye-bye Corrina, I got to leave ya now
Bye-bye Corrina, I got to leave ya now
Well I know you didn′t mean it, no good, no how!

Now, the country artist who re-vamped the song is none other than Bob Wills, but he called it Corrine Corrina, but same lyrics. Hope this helps!
