I believe true female vocal talent is found in goth metal bands. They often have such beautiful, ethereal, and operatic voices. My favorites would be Vibeke Stene (ex-Tristania) and Simone Simons (Epica), and Floor Jansen (After Forever). Everytime I listen to them sing I get goosebumps. I love the orchestration from Epica and it suits Simone's style of singing.

flyleaf has a female singer

for me its all about the content of the music.if the song hits on how i feel

I think the female voice (in goth/metal) adds a depth of emotion, passion, romance and sensuality to the lyrics. I can't imagine a male singer singing "In Motion #2" by the Gathering and feeling the same way about it as I do from hearing Anneke sing it.

Malice - Epica is great. I got to see them in concert (opening for Overkill) a couple months ago. The only thing I don't like is the growling vocals that sometimes accompany behind her.

flyleaf is not goth metal try nightwish specially there song i wish i had an angel and nemo female voice is deeper and its suites to goth music
