How come its always the singer of a band that dies?!
Question: take nirvana and quiet riot for example. and there are tons more. why is it the singer? why not the drummer or bassist or something?
i know its not ALWAYS the singer. im exagerating that. but it seems to be mainly the singer.

I don't think it's that it's always the singer that dies... I just think people seem to care more when the singer dies. There are tons of bands that lose bass players and drummers, and the band keeps on rolling so most folks are sad, but keep listening. If the singer dies, the band dies with them. Just my opinion on the matter.

The singer, I suppose, is considered the main one who often gives the band its unique sound. Thus to lose this band member creates more publicity.

It's merely a coincidence I think lol. Strange but true.
It just seems like it's the lead singers because more people recognize the lead singers.
One of the deaths I remembered was Steve Clark, who was the guitarist for Def Leppard. It saddened me when I saw Def Leppard in concert recently, and they chose not to do the one part where the lead singer yells, "C'mon, Steve!"

Well, often, the lead singer is the front man, doing most of the partying and performing. Thus, he has a shorter lifespan.
Its because the band is left without a voice, they have been silenced.
Musicians die all the time. It's just that the "front-man" is more visible and harder to replace, therefore, it usually results in the demise of the band.

I really don't think that's true at all. It's more of a case that we tend to pay more attention to the lead vocalist than the other players in any given band. Plenty of non-vocalists have died early too. Just look at Led Zeppelin or The Who.
Because they do all the drugs and way too damn much,but not always though look at DimeBag-guitarist he was shot on stage,Cliff Burton-Bassist died in a bus accident but yeah it is mainly the singers,they like drugs

eventuallyople pay most of their attention to the singers and I guess that they get insanely famous because of that. They get tired of it, start to drink and use drugs... And they eventually die. But not only singers die.

i'm not trying to stereotype or make any accusations here, but usually the singers are the ones who are rumored to be involved in drugs and stuff like that, more than any other band member.
John Bonham (drummer) died, and it caused Led Zeppelin to end their career. That's almost okay though - I would almost be afraid to see what 80s new wave and/or big hair glam would've done to their sound. This way they never produced a bad album and ended their career while still on top.
Anyway, I guess it is hard to find someone to replace a lead singer and still have a sound that audiences and fans recognize. Although AC/DC fared well. Maybe lead singers just party more, have more pressure/attention placed on them, or feel more stress, causing them to engage in riskier behaviors or become suicidal. I mean, it's usually the lead singers that the girls get crushes on and who are more frequently interviewed and act as the face of the band. Just speculation though. It's most likely all coincidental.
