I won't totally bash on new music anymore cause I have heard some good stuff...sure a lot of it drivel, but there are a few good bands around if You seach widely enough.
But Classic Rock Prog and Metal is just simply the best. No better genre of Rock with a more talented pool of musicians exists.

The genre as a whole? Not really, i like a few classic rock bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix Experience...
but generally, i can't listen to it.
Surrounded myself with it all of my life. Play it, listen to it, still gig classic rock music from time to time.
I have to tell you that after all this time - a person does get tired of it. These days I listen mostly to OLD school blues and Irish folk. I'll never hate classic rock, but it is a well that I do not need refreshing from for some time.
frankly i love it but there are always people that dont like a certain genre. its pretty much impossible to have a genre that everyone likes.

I know there are a lot of people from a "younger generation" who think that anything other than MCR (I still could not name one of their songs) sucks, but for those of us who grew up on classic rock, it's like luggage - we'll never get rid of it. We may (and do) add to our collection, but when we dust off our copy of "Quadrophenia" and give it a spin on the turntable, we still get chills.

Haha, good question. I'm sure there are people out there somewhere in the world who do not like classic rock, like the idiots in the rap section. I however, am not a rap idiot and love classic rock.

yeah there r some people. most people at my school only listen to modern stuff like mcr or soulja boy or some crap like that. i mostly listen to classic rock and music from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's. some modern stuff is cool though like black eyed peas. but most of it (in my opinion) is just plain crap and deosnt have the same soul and feeling as classic music. and the real shame is that some people dont even give classic music a chance. like my friend didnt like the beatles or any 60's music and she never even listened to any of it, but after listening to a few beatle songs, she thinks theyre ok now.
seems like people don't mind it but not everyone actually chooses to listen to it, i was just browsing these questions and wondering....where is the good music?....because +44 and seether is all i've seen...ug
I'm not a big fan of it actually. Sure I can listen to the Doors and Motley Crue any day, but generally I like the new stuff.

you serious? yeah there are people in this world who dont appricate talent and musicianship and think that that crap they hear on MTV is really hard to make and its actual "music". alot of kids in my school think its all just noise. But most people love this music, and how it inspired a revolution, and continues to inspire many today.
I'm guessing a lot of people or kids who like NOW music will probably say, "What is that?"
It's different then the rock people might expect.
