crazyguy... seems to be right. Ray Winkler and John Hathcock. Ray Winkler died of a heart attack on May 9, 1998. I just don't know where he got his info. I've been searching and I can't find second part of your question. These guys wrote some really good songs recorded by a lot of good artists.
