No one beats Hagar! If it weren't for him, when Halen left to (lol) make it on his own, Hagar not only continued to carry the crowd, but added to them!!! Ha!
David Lee Roth pwns Sammy Hagar any day of the week. I love all of the band's stuff, but DLR is just plain better. For Christmas I got tickets to go see them, I'm so fu'ckin' excited.
No person is a bigger fan of Sammy's solo music than me but Van Halen is one of the most innovative bands in history, they played metal and invited girls to the party. Van Hager was decent, good background music at best.

David Lee Roth was a rock star not a musician. Its all about what your after if you like simple lyrics that rock go with Roth if your looking for really good music with lyrics that match Hagar all the way. Just look at his solo stuff, hes still rocking out in Cabo while I dont know what roth has been doing outside of Van Halen
