What company makes the best harmonica for playing the blues?!

Question: I don't want to spend a ton, but I am willing to make this somewhat of an investment. I'd rather buy something I can "grow into" than just buy a cheapo one and need to buy another down the road. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hohner,

The Hohner Marineband harps are one of the most popular for blues if not the most popular. Hohner's Blues Harp MS are good also. Big River harps made by Hohner have plastic combs and are less expensive so make a good choice for beginners.

Some use Lee Oskar harmonica's. There are some custom harp makers but these harps are much more expensive.

Hohner

I buy super el-cheapos; Johnsons' harps, made by Chinese Communists, work out to about $2.50 each, so I can have 12 keys without trading a car for them...A great harmonica web-site and e-store is www.coast2coastmusic.com. Lots to buy, lots to learn there! Good folks...

Hohner.

Price vs. performance, I understand from my harp frieds it is the way to go.

Although I prefer Marine Band, I am not much of a harp player, and I think the trend it to go with their blues harps.

Hohner!
