Paramore are underrated. Many people are quick to pass them off as just another bubblegum punk pop band with generic songs. I think they are truly something special, since the members are, on average, hardly out of their teens yet. Lead singer Hayley is a fragile 17 years old. She is everything you would want in a frontwoman for a band like Paramore. Quirky, energetic, charismatic and strong-willed. She's incredibly mature for her age, even though she sometimes comes across as a bit of a cheeky brat.
The rest of the band - guitarist Josh Farro, bassist Jeremy Davis and drummer Zac Farro - complete a young, youthful band who's fresh sound is so crucial to today's music scene. Hayley pours her heart and soul into her lyrics, baring herself to the world with every song. She commands a powerful presence onstage, and connects with the crowd effortlessly. Songs such as Misery Business, Emergency, Born For This, Crushcrushcrush and Hallelujah are fine examples of the band's anthemic, punk-edged pop rock sound that their many legions of teenaged fans adore so much.
Paramore aren't just looking for their fifteen seconds of fame. They have enough support, determination and youth to stick around for another decade. I have no doubt in my mind that they could be the next New Found Glory, or Jimmy Eat World.
I know that's a big call, but I have faith in their talents. Paramore won't go away any time soon, you can be sure of that.

My favourite Paramore song is Born For This, just because of the soaring vocals during the bridge, the thick, solid guitar work and a sense of the strong connection the band has with their fans in the lyrics. Misery Business is a fantastic song, with it's huge, anthemic chorus and cheeky lyrics. The hook is so infectious that it's hard to get out of your head, and the guitars and drums prove that they aren't just any old pop band. There are chunky hard rock riffs, brash, thumping drums and growling basslines. You won't hear THAT on your usual pop record.
Thanks for tolerating my habit of rattling on about Paramore. I just feel so strongly about them!

Also- don't ditch a badn because it goes mainstream. ditch it because you don't like it. Only listening to something because it makes you feel 'alternative' then pretending to hate it when others start listening is just sad..

I LOVE PARAMORE! I had some bad memories with some of their songs, but I still can't stop listening to them. Hayley's voice is just amazing! You should definitely listen to:
