Is it natural for a 50 yearold to listen to Rock and Heavy Metal?!

Lately I started listening to Rock and Heavy Metal.
I'm almost 50 and when people see a 50 years old man listening to loud Rock music in his car, they mostly laugh!!!!!!
When I say Rock music I don't mean Avril Lavigne, I mean: Apocalyptica, Arch Enemy, Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Evanescence, Korn, Linkin Park, Slipknot, S.O.A.D and Three Days Grace.
If you see me in my car listening to loud music, will you laugh?

No as a 41 year old Metalhead I surely won't laugh because I do the same thing. Metal is meant to be played only one way...LOUDLY.
But I will also say this and I apologize in advance and really don't mean to be mean but.
You have drastically bad taste in Metal brother..
You listed almost every talentless worthless junk excuse for a Metal band going.

And all the other REAL Metal bands out there that are so much better than these pale weak new versions
Sorry, didn't mean to preach. It's just that Nu-Metal sucks soooooo very badly compared to the old stuff You REALLY don't know what You are missing

I don't recall any age limit on what you're allowed to listen to after you've become an adult. Rock out to your music and enjoy, who cares what anyone else thinks!
Actually if you like it you should listen to it I mean your not getting any younger!

to be honest, yes i would be like "wow, that old dude is trying too hard".
that and it's kind of annoying to listen to other people's loud music, even if it is good music like korn.

You don't have to be any certain age to listen to a type of music. Music is supposed to be a form of self expression, and real music comes from the passionate musician. You can listen to any type of music that you want to. There is no age limit! If I saw you in your car listening to loud music, the only thing that I would think about is the fact that you shouldn't turn your music up too loud because it impairs your vision, and I don't want your safety, nor anybody else's, to be in jeopardy on the road!
Hey man, I grew up listening to Led Zepplin, Grand Funk Railroad, Uriah Heap, Stephen-wolf, Boston, and still do. Your taste in music is different than most your age, but if people laugh, let them laugh as long as you enjoy it. Who cares? I enjoy my music. I don't listen to it quite as loud anymore, but I still enjoy it. I don't care if people laugh. Let them laugh. I'm 52.

Laugh at you? Me? No man, you have a good taste in music! Rock is for everyone, maybe they laughed because they were surprised at you. Honestly, I know a lot of people who's also at your age prefer to listen to Led, Scorpions or The Eagles, but hey they are also rock artists! In your case, you're more on the heavier side, and there's nothing wrong with that. Keep on rockin' man!

No, I wouldn't laugh. My dad's your age and he perfers rock music. Evanescence, Three Days Grace, Buckcherry, Seether, Hinder, Shinedown, etc. It's perfectly natural.
You are NEVER too old. Look at Lemmy from Motorhead, he turned 62 on Xmas Eve. I don't think he'll ever stop rocking.
I think it's great, which of course automatically makes it natural. I plan to be one of those dudes at some point. I promise no laughing on my end.

Seeing as how metal was mainly from the 70's and 80's, no. However, I think it's funny for anyone to be listening to most of the bands you listen to.
theres no age limit in music as long as you are happy you can listen to whatever you like.

I would laugh, but only because that music is horrible and if you are old then you should know good music!
