I love both of them. Lauryn Hill and India.Arie are soo pretty.
It is a shame that people deny and underestimate their beauty of music and physical appearance.

What I love about these two women is that they speak poetic through their lyrics. They do not only speak about love over and over again but they also sing about other things that give you strentgh, courage and wisdom. Just like the song;video and brown skin of India.Arie it reminds you to love yourself and appreciate who you are because you cannot change what you look like and therefore you should make the BEST out of it.

Another thing that has been notable is that Lauryn Hill and India.Arie do not live up to the ''Hollywood beauty'' standard. They just love who they are and keep it real. I have never seen Lauryn Hill or India.Arie shaking their *** with some 22 inch blonde weave. Which shows you that they really want to sell their music and not their body and/or their image.

Both women are absolutely gorgeous and have amazing voices. Their lyrics are wonderful and they have great style.

Lauren Hill is awesome. From her days in the Fugees singing "Ready Or Not", to her solo album with "Ex-Factor", I just love everything she's done.

I love the song "There's Hope" by India Arie...what a phenominal song!

Oh, and we can't forget about Erykah Badu...she's great, and the song "Bag Lady" is one of my favorites!

Met one of them live in person I love Lauren Hill..She is Haitain and beautiful in person as in face and personality. Her skills on the mike are awesome as one of the best female Mc's with the skills to pay the bills and ripped Pras on every track who was rude and wack in person...Wyclef was cool . her singing is very good too her range is incredible!! live and on her album which I own .I like her old stuff better and her new songs I wasnt really feeling. Her album the miseducation was a classic ..and opened up alot of people to music. India Irie one of my good friend in whole food in ATL saw her in person in ATL and she wasnt very nice or polite and very nasty and rude.... and I dont find her particularly attractive in any way she is ugly to me. Her songs to me are overrated and simplistic. One song I remember was about her being in a freaking river like it was spiritual or some crap...and she sang for a girl in Africa one time who lost her parents to Aids in Africa and said "I am going to sing as a gift to her"...I thought to myself wow how arrogant she just lost her parents in a third world country and her big ego thinks it is a gift to sing for her I was insulted. this was so patronizing and I lost all respect for her my African girlfriend was disgusted....Her songs to me are boring also. One of her songs was descent. It is noted in me and my girls collection we have both all three artists albums and Erykah and Lauren's album are the best and most complex by far...India has a couple good songs.

Erykah Badu is very pretty and beautiful especially her skin...Her songs are the bomb too and everything she puts out is a classic although I would never date her we see Common and Andre and what she did to them...she is nuts.

i'm not an india arie fan. i don't like her songs. but lauryn i have dug since i first saw her in sister act 2. she has an amazing voice and sooul to match and i admire her for taking out time to raise her children i just wish she had married before starting her family but hey that's her choice but even if she never has another album(yes,i said album) her the miseducation of lauryn hill will be the album ever to me. it spoke so much volume a/b how i was feeling at that time in my life.

I like India Arie alot she's not in that glamour girl mold. Straight from the begining she said she's not the average girl in the videos. What I love most about her is her music is Positive you can enjoy listening to clean decent music. Some of my favorite songs by her is: Brown Skin, Truth, and Purify Me. I saw her in concert once at Radio City I took my bf for her birthday she gave a nice performance. When Lauryn Hill first came out she was great. but after she won those five Grammy's her life took such a drastic change. I really don't think that Lauryn could handle her success. Their were all kinds of rumors about her on Wendy Williams radio show, after her long absence from making music I went to see her in concert last summer I was truly dissapointed. She was over an hour and a half late, then on top of that when it was time for her to finally come on stage the band into her and she still kept her fans waiting a good 20 min. Once she finally came on stage she didn't bother to apologize to her fans for being late. During her set she wasn't interested in singing songs that the fans knew and loved. So it was hard to stay connected with her. She sanged only 3 songs her fans knew. When she sanged The first Time I Ever Saw Your Face by Robertha Flack I was excited, thinking she's going to sing Killing Me Softly next she didn't she went off and did her own thing. I left a little early her voice wasn't up to par either. I heard at the concert she had a bout with drugs.

Both women are amazingly good vocalists. They also talk about real things relevant to americas young women. And they have no problem being themselves, they haven't changed the way they are and how they act for anybody. They stay constant throughout all of their albums, and they don't care how many albums they sell as long as their message hits at least one young woman going through hardship.

LAURYN IS HOOD HARD GHETTO SOULFUL SINGING AND YOU FEEL GER EMOTIONS THROUGH HER VOICE. SHES POSITIVE. AND ALL HER MUSIC AINT SEX MONEY AND MEN

Not very much....find them a bit boring to be frank!

they are both gorgeous black women, and a lot of young black girls can look up to india arie
