Is this commercial hip-hop really so appealing?!
Question: I mean I can understand that girls just want to dance and they dont care that the lyrics they are shaking it to, are completely degrading them and calling them HO's.....but why (other than the obvious for the HO's) are you men going? Do you just have to dance?

Hi hop isn't even music. It's ripped off track lines, ripped off lyrics and a subculture of mindless bass thumping that takes no thought whatsoever to process. I mean look at 'Stomp' LOL

ok get this, im a girl and just because a few sluts are dancin like hoes in videos doesnt mean all girls do it. and with guys, how is it 'alright' for a girl to make a fool of herself but when a guy does its just plain wrong? guys can dance in hip hop videos, nothing wrong with that. And nobody just has to dance it is their choice. you should let it be.
It's all awful, and the rappers themselves know it. They know that their time on the charts is limited, so they do all they can while they are on it. Everyone remembers the classics, but, who's gonna give a rat's as$ about sean kingston, solja boy, and akon in 5 years. hopefully by then hip hop will have dissolved itself out.

Commercial Hip-Hop is going DOWN. With all these novelty acts like Souljah Boy and Hurricane Chris, people are straying away from these little bastards, not knowing the true underground music. Artists like Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West (some of his songs), Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, they get almost no airplay! It's all about who can invent the newest dance. Souljah Boy with his Superman bullcrap, and Hurricane Chris with his "Ay Bay Bay and Hand Clap." Since when was clapping a dance?! These little bastards are getting younger and stupider. Everything is about the hooks and beats, not the lyrics nowadays. Have you heard Souljah Boy's lyrics? AWFUL. No more substance in these songs. Just... SNAPPING AND CRANKING. Enough with this, all these songs everywhere, just listen to old school, no mentions of these stupid dances or glamour.
it seams like sometimes in hard situations the rappers of hip hop are the only one that understand. also, you may think that hip hop is degrading but for every song a rapper talks bad about a woman he or another rapper has a song that speaks highly about a woman. Know you're about it before you hate on it
most girls dont pay attention to lyrics and if you have been to a club most girls dance to reggae no one really dances to hip hop anymore
