Band Aid lyrics, do they make sense?!

Question: There won't be snow in Africa this Christmas time..... except on the Atlas mountains or the snow covered peak of Kilimanjaro.

Nothing ever grows, no rain or rivers flow....... there are some very fertile areas, and the longest river in the world too!

Do they know it's Christmas? ..... lots of christians in Africa.

I think Midge Ure and Bob Geldof should have researched the matter more thoroughly.

Lol, never thought about it like that... but having laughed for a brief moment, the song is about making everyone aware of the famine in Ethiopia........ Merry Christmas xx

I think you're a retard if you can't work it out!

I think it is very sad that Christmas is a time for people to change the attitude which they posses all year.

And did it do any good, no they had to do it again twenty years later.

I think you're kind of missing the point.

Makes no sense, you're right. There's no point either, it was all just a massive publicity stunt to make the rich and famous more rich and famous. Sad, but true.

I think the song was specific for a particular part of Africa (Ethopia).

i think you need to stop being so pedantic.....they got the message across

I suppose you have evrything you want for xmas? All they want is happiness. jeez.

I agree, there are many fertile affluent places in Africa, but there are also many very poor places as well. Although I think the UN should be harder on these corrupt leaders and help the people to learn how to farm the land themselves, but some people just want to sit back and receive all this aid in stead of making things better for themselves. Shame though!

I wish you a Merry Christmas. Take care.

The Band Aid song goes like this:
I am stuck on Band Aid
Cause Band Aid stuck on me.
Makes perfect since to me.

And I think people like you should be shot if you're going to rip a song with such an important message to pieces
