Check out Avenged Sevenfold's new stuff. They have toned it down since M. Shadows burst a blood vessel in his throat from screaming. Serj Tankian's Solo album is pretty good. "Big Casino" by Jimmy Eat World is good and upbeat. The Color Fred is also very good. I miss him in Taking Back Sunday though.
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus has some really good songs. So does Houston Calls.
personally i would have to say anything by The Academy Is... or The Rocket Summer.
Acceptance .........uuuuunbelievable rock band. Check out their album "Phantoms" Upbeat rock, catchy choruses, driving instruments....I listen to them when I lift...goes perfectly.
The entire new album by Spoon, "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga", is so good, and it's my favorite album right now. Some highlights are "Don't You Evah", "Black Like Me", and "Don't Make Me a Target".
The latest album by Band of Horses, "Cease to Begin", is also very good.
"Come Now Sleep" by As Cities Burn is a great one if you're into their particular genre.
