I believe Tom was in rehab and when he got out he changed. He didn't want to make crazy punk rock music anymore. He had a daughter and he settled down a bit and he became to appreciate music differently. I don't believe Mark and Tom are friends anymore.

They did the smart thing and broke up when the question 'Can it get any better than this?' was answered with 'No.'
So they broke up on a high note. Classy.
My best friend loved them. I've heard it's because a couple of them wanted to do other things on their own.
Mark wanted the band to go back to their roots, silly and fun (+44). Tom wanted the band to grow up and go in a different direction (Angels and Airwaves). I am sure they are still friends, they just had different aspirations musically.
I was never a huge fan. Some songs are cool. I wish they'd stayed together though to spare the world the horror of Angels and Airwaves.
Who cares? Their last album was awful. They'd peaked long before the break-up. I'm sure they'll have some reunion tour eventually anyway.
Blink 182 broke up beacause tom left the band. no one really knows the real reason, he just started acting really weird and wouldnt talk to anyone. the r not still friends
"Jake wears Prada" is correct. They broke up because Tom was maturing and wanted to spend less time on the road and be with his wife and kids. His musical growth is evident on the last Blink album (which I love) and also on his solo act Angels and Airwaves. Far as I know, Mark and Trav do no speak to Tom.

Tom left the band for undisclosed reasons, but the band, or at least Mark I believe, have agreed to appear on a documantary about punk bands. Supposingly, the real reason will be revealed when the film comes out.

they just felt it was time to go separate ways
and so they compete against eachother now.
I honestly like +44 better than angels and airwaves

i read in an interview in alternative press in 06 that mark and tom haven't spoken since blink broke up. and i heard that tom just left the band without telling anyone after he had gotten into an argument with mark. i may be wrong though
tom wanted to spend more time with his familly and mark wanted to go on tour since they'd just released a new album and they got in a huge fight over it.
