Question: Do you have favorite verse from a song? If so what would it be?

Mine is: If You Don't Like Hank Williams by Mr. Kris Kristofferson

I dig Bobby Dylan and I dig Johnny Cash
And I think Waylon Jennings is a table thumpin' smash
And hearin' Joni Mitchell feels as good as smokin' grass
And if you don't like Hank Williams, honey, you can kiss my ***

My Favorite is the following from Johnny Cash's Southern Accents:

There's a southern accent, where I come from
The young'uns call it country
The Yankees call it dumb
I got my own way of talkin'
But everything is done, with a southern accent
Where I come from

Just reminds me of where I come from....with my heavy southern accent and all!!!!

yeah from Rascal Flatts-No Reins. Sometimes you just have to let go and live the way you want. Not how other people want you too. Great song.

She left that loser in a dust cloud
Heart in his hand, chin on the ground
Cried her last tear for that clown
She can see a little clearer now
She said, "Oh, oh I gotta go and find me"
Oh, oh she found the strength to break free
Like a painted wild mustang
Flyin’ out across the open range
Finally gets to live her life that way
No fear, no fences, nobody – no reins
No reins
All she’s ever felt is held back
She says, "It’s kinda nice to hear myself laugh"
She’s gonna do a lot more of that
She’s makin’ plans and makin’ tracks
She said, "Oh, oh I gotta go and find me"
Oh, oh she found the strength to break free

I loovee country so its hard to decide.
I have so many favorites.
umm...

Pickup Man - Joe Diffie
"You can set my truck on fire, roll it down a hill
But I still wouldn't trade it for a Coupe DeVille
It's got an eight foot bed that never has to be made
You know if it weren't for trucks we wouldn't have tailgates
I met all my wives in traffic jams,
You know there's something women like about a Pickup Man"

My boyfriend is the definition of a pickup man.. and I looove it! =)

i like the song family tradition and here is my favorite line
Lord, I have loved some ladies and I have loved Jim Beam
And they both tried to kill me in 1973
And when my doctor asked me
"Son, how'd you get in this condition?"
I said "Hey sawbones, I'm just carryin' on an old family tradition."

I hate you, each time I cry, I hate you,
little drops of anger fall from my eyes,
betwwen a love and hate, there's a little thin line
and I'm trying to hate you, right out of my mind

I Hate You by Ronnie Milsap

yeah, I see it, Tex!! (but, what do you expect from trolls (your thumbs downs are badges of honor to me )

(I got broad shoulders)..........IMMATURE TWERPS!!!

Waylon -"I,ve always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane" reminds me of my past.

Hey Caveman...Looks like we've been marked:)

Tomorrow I'll be right back plowin'. settin' the woods on fire!!!!!!

you took the words right out of my mouth. I said, I dig Roger Miller, Merle Haggard; George Jones shotgun Willie Nelson and them rockin' Rollin' Stones and Jerry Lee's still gotta be the coolest in the class and if you don't like Hank Williams, honey, you can kiss my ***!!

also like tonya watts-we both sang ramblin man, and dixie on my mind, tear in my beer and if you don't like hank you can kiss me where the sun don't shine(songs called the day hank jr came to town)

Yeah I got a few:
Kiss My Country A$s- Rhett Aikens (the whole song)
Angry American- Toby Kieth (the boot in your butt verse, classic Toby)
Good As I Once Was- Toby Kieth (whole song)
Don't Give Us A Reason- Hank Jr. (Id like to find out just for fun, just how fast them camels can run, i'm tellin ya son, dont give us a reason, Love it, classic hank)
If The South Woulda Won- Hank Jr. (whole song)

My favorite verse is from Ernest Tubb's hit, "I Love You Because"...:

"I love you for a hundred thousand reasons,
But most of all, I love you 'cause you're you."

Johnny Cash - Hurt

I hurt myself today
to see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
the only thing that's real

yes, "I once took the high road and it took me straight to hell"
by hank williams III Song Cecil Brown

Like a fiend with his dope
And a drunkard his wine
A man will have lust
For the lure of the mine

-- Merle Travis, "Dark as a Dungeon"

I love the song, Rollin' with the Flow, by Charlie Rich.

"Cant take it with you when you're gone,
But I want enough to get there on, and I ain't never growin' old, so, I keep on rollin' with the flow".

the hills of cow gap stood rugged and awesome
but you have to have fill-dirt when you're building a road
the hills of cow gap, they weathered the ages
got wiped off the map at 12 dollars a load
they call it the hill country i call it beautifull
i'd call it progress if it could be saved
they call it the hill country i call it home
what will they call it when it's level and paved?

Randy Rogers Band

Kiss me til I fall out and get NAKED!
