Do any of you regular R & P rockers play a musical instrument?!

Question: The amount of experience is not important. You could be a beginner or quite talented.

Music is definitely a participatory activity!!!

I like to play the keyboards.

How about you?

I am quite skilled at the harmonica and several precussion instruments. At one point in my life, I had a voice that was compared to that of the mighty Ray Gillen, but a series of sinus infections and a barrage of allergic attacks have resulted in my vocal chords being covered with nodules and pollyps. As a result, my voice now has the distinct sound of Rod Stewart combined with that of an alleycat in heat.

NP: "My Heart Can't Tell You No" - Rod Stewart

Guitar (incl. Bass), Harmonica, Tin Whistle, Kantele, and some keyboards (far from good though).

Tambourine
{x 4 : ordinary ; double jangles ; skinned ; half moon}

I *have* an electric guitar, and a bodhran, I just haven't got around to learning to play them yet :(

Acoustic guitar, bass, and harmonica.
Oh yeah, and cowbell!

I don't play either of them well, but I do occasionally pick up my guitar and my bass. I think you would classify my playing is "noodling".

My training is more extensive in voice, which I get to practice every time I'm in the car. :)

Guitar, drums, bass, some keyboard, just learning banjo.

Guitar and skin-flu - hey, wait a minute....

Guitar and drums. I wouldn't exactly refer to myself as a guitarist or a drummer, since I'm not especially good at either. But I can play several songs on each instrument.

Not a one, but I love music, and I think I should have chosen the path because it is in my blood. But I am buying my daughter a keyboard for Christmas to get her started.

Does Air Guitar count!

i play guitar..i thought i was ok until i heard dragonforce..i maywell just give up now..
same story with durms.
lols:)

i played drums since i was 12. im and old fogy now.

every (guy) member of my family plays..my father is a guitarist and plays a gibson les paul, gibson sg, fender strat.(anniversary special)..my oldest brother plays keyboards, and bass and synthesizer..my second oldest brother plays a little guitar..

whats fun is on weekends my dads band plays gigs and my oldest brother plays keyboards in the band. i'll take my wife and some friends out to hear them, and my dad will call me up to do a set. its a blast to be part of a musical family.. i'll take those good times to my grave.

I'm not very good at any of it, but I play some guitar, even less bass, and I don't play keys per say, but I have a micro korg and in the band I play in I use it every now and again for just little riffs or a really simple pad. A little bit of background vocals and I probably sing 1 out of every 5 or 6 songs we play.

Thanks, I've never been particularly talented, but I seem to be just good enough at a few different things that I seem to work out alright in a "fill the holes" capacity.

I'm getting into the drums!

I play the Piano [and Keyboards]. I'm not trained and I play by ear. I wouldn't say I'm a fantastic pianist but..bleh.
I play the Xylophone and Vibraphone, but haven't done so in a while.

I can play Triangle, Tamborine and Recorder... \m/

Very Rock N Roll, I know.

im a beginner at the keyboard/piano but i can play songs like

MCR- welcome to the black parade intro
Fort Minor- where'd you go
Linkin Park - in the end (piano intro)
and then some other piano songs but not from bands

i have an electric guitar cus i really wanted to learn how to play but i couldn't find anyone to teach me. and professional teachers are to expensive. i tried the online videos but that wasn't much help. so i couldn't teach myself. i haven't given up just put it on hold. maybe someday someone will teach me.

Yeah I play guitar in a band. I've been playing for a while now.
