I guess it depends on which style you like better. I like Hendrix better so I vote for him.
Michael Angelo Batio is very good, but, I must go with Jimi Hendrix.
Coming from two very different and i do mean verrry different styles its impossible to compare. Jimi set the tone along with clapton but new gutarists like petrucci, vai, eric johnson, and batio have stepped it up so much.
Both very good guitarists but both impossible to compare.
