What are the types of strings on this bass guitar?!

It's a Squier Vintage Modifed Precision Bass... I own it, but as sad as it may sound, I don't know what the type of strings are on it (came with them on and didn't say) and I'm looking to purchase new strings fairly soon... So if you know what type of strings (brand, gauge, type ect.) please let me know.. also can you recommend anything that is similar? I like the current sound but have no clue where to begin when buying new bass strings, so for now I want something similar. THANKS!

Honestly, the strings that they put on the basses when they sell them are just generic. If you like the gauges, then take your axe to a music store where they can measure them for you.
Your choices will be round wound, flat wound, or ground round (really, no joke).
Go for either GHS, Fender, Ernie Ball or Ken Smith strings. They are basic and will get the job done. The Elixer and DR strings are really nice, but after 10-12 hours of playing on them, they wind up sounding just like the GHS boomers.
I use GHS Bass boomers, or Ken Smith. Just depends on what the store has in stock when when I'm buying.
Take it to a music shop
do you have a guitar center or Sam Ash in your area. take the bass to to them and they will probably be able to pick out the strings you need.
There many brands out there, but they are ussually good help
