Bagpipes and Rock and Roll?!

Question: If you know of any rock bands that have bagpipes in them let me know.

Answers: If you know of any rock bands that have bagpipes in them let me know.

Korn has like ONE song only (shoots and ladders). There are a few rock bands, but they are either slightly cheesy or have too few bagpipes in their songs. But if you want to experiment, here is a list:

Prydein
Seven Nations
Dropkick Murphys
Real McKenzies
Wolfstone
Forest for the Trees

There are also ones that are more folk than rock, but still slightly 'rockish':
Wicked Tinkers
Rare Air
Tannahill Weavers

There are a few more that I can't remember, but this is a good starting point.

Edit: "icouldbeagain" is wrong: Big country did not have bagpipes in their songs (although in at least one of their songs they made a sound that SOUNDED like a bagpipe, but it wasn't actually a bagpipe).

Korn has more than one song with bagpipes in them on
a couple different albums.

ACDC. "Its a long way to the top"

I think thats the whole Irish rock thing. I know Dropkick Murpheys will through them in.

shoots and ladders by korn

Dropkick Murphys
Flogging Molly
The Real McKenzies

From the 80s - Big Country

Edit: My most abject apologies to Mister-damus, for the Big Country reference. If you're a child of the 80s (like myself) and have a vivid memory of the Fields of Fire video, you'll understand why I thought they used actual bagpipes, and not a guitar tuned to sound like bagpipes. Check it, out, it's still pretty nifty: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSrIEPC0E...

The Animals used the pipes on Sky Pilot
Brit band Wizzard used them on Are You Ready To Rock
and one of my favs is Anthem by the Alex Harvey Band just to name a few.

Nazareth used pipes somewhere along the way...
