I own a Fender 5-Strinng Jazz deluxe. I am looking for another bass. Suggestions!

Question: I am looking for a different sound from the fender bass. I tried the Warmick Corvette Double Neck Thru 5 string Bass and love it; however, It is a bit expensive. I noticed that there is a Warmick corvette Double Buck 5 String Bass that looks very similar but is 1K less. I am not to picky on looks I am more interested in the sound, fat, clear and warm. Any suggestions?

Warwick makes a high quality product.

All of these are under $1000, although you can purchase higher end guitars from any of the following...

Check out Carvin...
Carvin builds the LB75 active bass to the highest possible standards with features found only on high-end basses. Neck through body construction, 24 frets, ebony fingerboard and H50S stacked humbucking pickups are all standard. $899.00

Also you could try a Yamaha... now I might not have said this 10 years ago, but Yamaha has become a quality instrument manufacturer
