Is singing a devoloped skill or a natural born skill?!

Question: is singing a devoloped skill or a natural born skill/talent

Answers: is singing a devoloped skill or a natural born skill/talent

It's definitely both.

If you've got it, you have to learn how to use it.
If you haven't got it, all the knowledge in the world will not help at all.

I've always had a pretty good ear, but I couldn't sing worth anything until I was about 18 and I learned how to use my voice most effectively.

My music theory instructor has an excellent ear, but his voice is crackly and he has no control over it.

Some people have an excellent voice but cannot sing on pitch no matter how much ear training they have received.

It definitely a combination of things: a good ear, a good voice, and training to develop those two attributes to their full potential.

both!!!
if you have a nice voice you can always perfect it!!!!!!
you can make it sooo much better with lessons!!!

Natural skill is important ---- the basic, and developed skill is important too.

i believe that it is a skill that one is born with. That's why i feel that i am lucky

i think a natural born skill

i think no matter what it's a learning process evan xtina aguilara had to take voice lessons. The thing is, is that even if your born with a great voice doesn't mean your going to be some famous person when you grow up, you need the full package. There are sooooooooo many great talents out there who will never be known to the "fame world" it's soo much more than your looks, voice, money, you need that special something inside that people like to watch. For example Kristin from laguna beach. She has something about her that made her so popular in laguna beach It's not because she's really pretty and or out going but she has something about her that you can't explain and ever since she's left laguna beach it really hasn't been that big of a hit. And not affence to lauren from the hills but i don't think she really has that special something, I think she just got lucky and it was a good story. She doesn't really stand out in my mind. Well i hope you kinda get what im saying lol i know it's a little confusing but that's what people mean by when they say it takes more than talent to get you to the top.

Both.

You can work hard, and develop skills.

If you WANT to succeed/improve etc and you are motivated, that can be all it takes sometimes.

Dedicated teachers can help.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it could be difficult, but singing is fun, and the fact that it is something enjoyable makes practicing that little bit better!

Both.

Alot of people are born with a natural born skill of singing.

But in saying that, its like any skill - you can develop it by practice and training.
