Question: I was listening to this cd that my ex gave me....
and It's all underground hip hop....
I don't know much about underground hip hop..
so.. I just want to ask if you know these artists...
...and if you can name some good songs from them .

Zion I actually pretty good..um..um..true & livin was their best album..I liked "birds eye view", "the bay" and "faint of heart"
Common Market I'm actually not that big on..but I like thier song poison
Brother Ali= greatest albino rapper ever...anyway..best song is "letter to the government"..does political rap..
Dj jazz jeff won the first rap grammy..had an album early this year
Mistah F.A.B. is talented but puts out hyphy s hits
Clipse are good..but I'm not as crazy bout them as some people..anyway..gridin and dirty money are my favs..

I can tell you dizzee rascal is from the UK.Mistah F.A.B. does a song called ghostride{the whip} to the beat of ghostbusters.He's from the Bay area{Oakland area}.Not very underground.As for clipse the only song that ever got radio play{To my knowledge} was grindin
Brother Ali is from Rhymesayers Ent. in Minnesota. He released an album this year with the single "Uncle Sam, damn". That joint is fire. Mister FAB is only underground, cuz he ain't had a major commercial hit yet. He aint the same "type of Underground that Brother Ali, or Blackalicious is. Clipse, they had a hit album a few years ago, the last I heard they formed a group with some other southern dudes and was puttin out mixtapes...Dizzee Rascal is from the UK, he's been puttin in work for a loonngg time, and his flow is tight. Zion I, their one of Indie Rap's most respected acts, they just released some new sh*t, I can remember the name though...If you wanna know about the artists, look them up on wikipedia. (Did you notice the overabundance of talent, and the utter lack of bling-bling BS? That's why Underground Hip-Hop is the best!) LOL
Okay I only listen to JJ, so I'd buy He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper by DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince (Will Smith). It is his best album and an overall classic.
the best in that list are zion i, blackalicious, brother ali, and common market (blue scholars are 2151323 times better than common market tho).
i recommend trippin' by zion (and flyin high by baba zumbi, the rapper from zion i), make you feel that way by blackalicious, letter to the government by brother ali, and connect for or love one by common market. also check out joe metro or 50 thousand deep by blue scholars (one of my favorite songs right now)
