Well when I was younger I had a rottweiler,But he was named after an actor. His full name on the certificate was Bogarthalamew, but everyone knew him as Bogey or Bogart, named after the famous Humphrey Bogart.

No, I tend to name my pets after characteristics that they have... like BJ (cat) is short for black jack because she has 21 toes. I did name a kitten after my favorite hockey player many years ago.
I know someone with cats named Ben and Jerry. Not exactly country but worthy all the same.
I think that's kinda sweet. But as for namin' my pets--no the kids do that when we have a fish tank in the house..No dogs-no cats, the kids make enough messes without adding to it.
