What guage of guitar picks (plectrums) do you use and what is your guitar?!
Question: I use Fender Pearl thin on my 60's player strat.
Answers: I use Fender Pearl thin on my 60's player strat.
I use thins (about .58). I'm jealous that you all have decent guitars and mine is from Argos...
I use 3 gauges of Jim Dunlop Tortex picks:
.73mm yellow
.88mm green
1.0mm blue
I don't have a preference, just as long as it's not too thick and not too thin.
And I play a DeVille Strat copy.
I use a fender heavy on my fender strat and a fender heavy on my 1953 solid body, mahogany, double humbucking, epiphone "Cornet". I once used a stone pick that a bluegrass player gave me... it was intense... but much much to heavy. I feel like the speed comes from your arm and wrist instead of a pick gauge and a thin pick doesn't have as much control or options for articulation!
i use Jim dunlop medium guage picks and my guitar is a Gibson custom. also I use Ernie balls strings.
Don't know the exact gauge, but i use Fender "Heavy" picks (brown tortoise-shell, of course). They're awesome, they don't shred into pieces, and they're really hard/inflexible but not like tiny rocks. Dunlops are good too, i just got used to Fender picks at a very young age.
I play a fender custom telecaster FMT (in transparent Amber, with a Duncan Distortion dropped into the bridge position) through a VOX AC 30 custom classic amp. I have the Line 6 POD X3 Live multi-effects pedal...
...there's absolutley no sound I cannot replicate with this set-up
...oh, and I use Ernie Ball power slinky (The ones in the purple packs, .48 to .10 gauge) strings, cause I like to be able to actually feel the strings when I play em'
Herco Gold flex 50. Fender Stratocaster.
.73 Jim Dunlop on a bass acoustic Fylde.
Kev ~ mines gray, not girlie yellow.
.88 on a BC Rich Classic Deluxe Eagle
I use Jim Dunlops 0.88
Strings Elixir 0.9s
Kramer barreta Cica 1984
Peavey EXH HP Signature
1972 Gibson Les Paul Custom
and a Marshall JCM 800 2210 head and 4x12
Boss and MXR pedals
