A seriously amazing artist, like jaw-drop awesome, is
Rocky Votolato.
Very mellow, chill. A great artist on the Seattle scene, he mixes acoustic, Americana, and a very smooth blend of indie rock.
His newest album is The Brag and Cuss, and is pretty awesome, but definitely check out his album Makers.

Travis has been around a long time, but they are still pretty low-key on the music scene. One of the best kept secrets of the UK really. Think indie Coldplay-ish, but still having their own sound.
