-_-? what? why? i think people more like that when music is falling apart... if i get to choose between marlyn manson and some kinda pop rock band, i will choose that pop rock band... and if i was a rocka and get choose between nas and soulja boy, i will choose soulja boy... people don't know what it means to protect important things from the wackos...

You know i just avoid listening to the radio and i really don't watch 106th and park very often. So hip hop is alive and well!

distorted r me is a retard who doesnt know that rap is a subgenre of hip-hop and that hip-hop and rap arent two different types of music.

i dont find it hard to be a fan at all. in fact, its a lot easier to be a fan of the artists i like because even though they dont get much radio play, the fans they have are true fans that love them for their music rather than the image they portray

No, cuz I know why the mainstream sucks. I'm an underground head, so if I'm disappointed with an artist, I can usually find a way to contact them and tell them so. People do the same with me if I release a "sub-par" track. And i love them for it, that's the beauty of being underground.

just dont listen to radio or watch MTV or BET. i sure as hell dont

maybe, if your married with the stereotipe of hiphop you will find it decadent soon, you need to explore variations in the genre the you feel inspired by.

a good example is saul williams he had a total diferent view far away of the -bling and the booty shake.

at his web site you can download his complete album free:

I don't know, I haven't really heard any drop off in the music I listen to. If anything it's gotten better.

i just find it hard to be a fan of the mainstream

Hip-hop is the culture, rap is the music. Distorted and TJ jin are both wrong. In the mainstream rap's current state, its true. But there are still a few few gems in the mainstream and underground; and then there's all that old stuff from the 70's to now to listen to.

no hiphop doesn't suck, rap does

you (like many) obviously can't distinguish the difference.

keep listening to rap, you're stupid anyway
