Yes, he was probably most famous for playing the awesome bass solo on "Don't Worry About Me" by Marty Robbins.

No, but the Slew Foot Five rings a bell... LOL

I remember him as the man who played the driving guitar sounds on a lot of Johnny Horton's recordings. Great picker he was.

Not to downplay is work with Horton, but, Grady Martin, a fabulous acoustic guitar player, was in my opinion, most well known (in the industry) as the fella who played most if not all of the beautiful "spanish/mexican" licks behind many of Marty Robbin's tunes.

El Paso, in particular, really gave Grady a lot of "space" in which to display his ability.
