What music faux pas are you guilty of?!

Question: faux pas means an accepted yet unwritten social rule.
For example: Most of my iTunes consists of 'true' punk rock, but I am unashamed of also having albums by MCR and Green Day. this is a 'music faux pas' (evidently, by what I've seen on Y! answers.)

Are there any of these you are guilty of?

You mean honesty, rather than beign a poser? In all the claims as to who is a poser, the one sure sign is anyone who has purified his musical tastes.

That said I used to swear I'd never listen to country, but they hellbillied me into listening to Johnny Cash.

Is this like guilty pleasures in other words?

If so, Journey. They're frickin' corporate rock and yet I'm still listening to them. Too damn catchy...

I actually like one Blink 182 song and I freakin' hate that band with a passion. Just one song of theirs to me is a definite faux pas.

I love journey. I dunno if that's really a faux pas, but I guess it is since I'm also a HUGE metalhead.

yep, I can rock out to lights and faithfully. hell, open arms has made me teary once or twice

I love Indie music and therefore I should hate the Killers. And I do, but I love Mr. Brightside... Not that I'd actually admit it in real life.

Well MCR is my favorite band so that's def a "music faux pas" for a 20-year-old guy; but im not ashamed either i just like what i like and thats how it is i'm not gonna change that just because other people hate them.

Paramore and Cute Is What We Aim For.

Cute Is What We Aim For,Paramore,Boys Like Girls. They are sooo freaking catchy

Being almost genre-less I have it all! From Brutal Death Metal to Celtic Folk and from Classical to Hardcore Punk. Bands like Green Day (the early stuff!), MCR and Sum 41 fill in the niches. Embrace the music you like to listen to and screw "social rule".
